1823:  David Collins (1750) dies around 1823 in Knox County, KY and I have found no other record to indicate that Thompsey left Kentucky after David’s death or that David went to any other location prior to his death. The 1804 and 1806 Grainger County, TN tax lists do give me some pause as we do not know for certain which David Collins these are referring to as it could either be David (1750) or his son David (1774).

This timeline is a work in progress.

“Across the line in South Carolina are found a people, evidently of similar origin, designated “Redbones.” In portions of w. N.C. and E. Tenn. are found the so-called “Melungeons” (probably from French mélange, ‘mixed’) or “Portuguese,” apparently an offshoot from the Croatan proper, and in Delaware are found the “Moors.” All of these are local designations for peoples of mixed race with an Indian nucleus differing in no way from the present mixed-blood remnants known as Pamunkey, Chickahominy, and Nansemond Indians in Virginia, excepting in the more complete loss of their identity. In general, the physical features and complexion of the persons of this mixed stock incline more to the Indian than to the white or negro. See Metis, Mixed bloods. (J.M.)”

Linkin Park - Wisdom, Justice And Love

Can the actions of MHS, NAFPS, CNO, UKB, EBC, Deleware Nation OK, TFC, or those with the same mind set reconcile what they do and say with WISDOM, JUSTICE and LOVE?

WHY I DO WHAT I DO

Why I do what I do, “…because my conscience leaves me no other choice…”; this business of calling fellow Native American Indian Indigenous brothers and sisters “wannabees”, “thinbloods”, "New Age Indians", fakes, and frauds, this business of thwarting tribal recognitions, of discriminating on the basis of skin color, phenotype and haplo-group, “…cannot be reconciled with wisdom, justice and love.”

Lies and the Lying Liars that Lie

Recently on the "Melungeon L List", I also call it the "Melungeon" Shit List, the moderator decided she was going to act like a little tin pot dictator. I have had trouble with this list on several occassions including having someone on there threaten physical violence towards me. Isn't that lovely of them. The "Melungeon L List" is a list serve at Rootsweb.com and associated with Ancestry.com. This list routinely has moderators that tell lies and serve up mis-leading information in order to intimidate those of us that have opinions and views that differ from theirs. This last instance had to do with telling the truth and even the possibilty of resorting to the use of emails that had been sent to prove a piont and bring forward some truth telling. The moderator tried to scare everyone by saying that posting personal emails was against the law. On the contrary, the only thing against the law on email posting would be propriatary information from a company or personal information such as SS # etc. None of this was or is the case. What has the moderator, and her ilk at "Melungeon Historical Society" (MHS), so worried is the truth about statements made in those emails that is being kept from the public view in order to continue a false idea. Scare mongering seems to be the methods used by inept charlatans within the MHS whom want to suppress truth. The jig is up MHS. You can not continue to deny Native American Indian people's identity.
